This year's Nationals were held in Columbus, Ohio. This is your webmaster's third experience with Nationals. It really was a fantastic showing. There were over 2500 builds of wonderful quality according to one of the shows organizers. The vendor's room was packed with vendors and shoppers. Lots of new stuff announced (though I don't usually keep track of it). Everything appeared to move very fluidly by the time I arrived at 4:00 pm on Wednesday. Registration was smooth. I have heard there was just a minor hiccup during the awards ceremony. I, unfortunately was unable to attend. My only gripe was the lighting in the display room. It was very dark and my photos will show that I don't accomodate that very well yet. Judging was a blast. I had the opportunity to look critically at several aircraft categories. Once again, it was VERY difficult to pick out the best in any given category as all were done well.

Over the next many pages, you will find over 1500 photos of the contest room. The pics are of varying quality. I apologize. I learned some things about shutter speed, flash and aperature on this trip that I was trying out. I had no tripod, and even if I did, there were too many to photograph to set up a tripod at each one. You can find lots of other photos at the IPMS-USA site, as well as several other private sites, that may include some of those late entries. I think you'll find, though, that this is the most comprehensive collection of pictures so far posted.
