L to R: Kimball, Hopkins, Boyer, Ballou
The February 2002 meeting was fortunate to have the Korean War veteran's Association, Chapter 4, Florissant, as guest speakers. They showed us a half hour video on the Korean War and then spoke of their experiences in that conflict. Present were, John Hopkings of the Army Corps of Engineers who ws engaged in map making in Korea; Charlie Boyer, who ws stationed at an Air Force Base, Ed Kimball, who was with the Army Combat Engineers (we would know that as Sturmpionieren) and was involved in road and bridge construction to case the transport of troops and supplies during the conflict and lastly; Stu Ballou, the KWVA State Commander, who was a Navy Corpsman during the war. All of them had a number of great stories and related these to a large map of the country and several handouts about the Korean War. One salient fact that emerged was that 919 Missourians lost their lives in that war.

November 2001 Staff, L to R: Craig Brown, Danette George, Mike George.
