How to Join Gateway IPMS

There is an organization in St. Louis that caters to the interests of scale model builders— YOU!!! The Gateway Chapter of the International Plastic Modelers Society can help you become a better modeler. We think that scale modeling in plastic is a great hobby, offering both challenge and satisfaction. Our interests are wide: we not only build scale miniatures of aircraft, armor, ships, and cars, but we're also interested in their historical aspects as well. Our club, as well as our national IPMS organization, can provide you with the information you need to build accurate and interesting models. Whether you are young or old, beginner or old pro, IPMS has something to offer you. We can:

• Teach you better modeling techniques
• Tell you if there's a kit available on the subject you want to model
• Inform you about paints, glues and other supplies for your projects
• Help you to enter a hobby that will provide hours of fun and relaxation.

Why don't you join us at one of our monthly meetings and try us out. We meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm. We meet at DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, Missouri, just off of St. Charles Rock Road. We meet in the May Center on the front side (facing south) of the building. For directions to the general meeting site: Take I-270 to St. Charles Rock Road. Go east on St. Charles Rock Road to McKelvey Road and turn right. Go up the hill to the stoplight and turn right into the hospital complex. At the first stop sign turn left. Follow the drive around to the front of the building. The May Center sign is above the doors. If you miss this go into the lobby and the folks at the info desk can point you the rest of the way. See you there. (See map).

We usually have slides or film to show, a demonstration of modeling techniques and lots of shop talk. We are willing to spend time with you as you enter or continue in this fascinating hobby.
