How to Join Gateway IPMS There is an organization in St. Louis that caters to the interests of scale model builders— YOU!!! The Gateway Chapter of the International Plastic Modelers Society can help you become a better modeler. We think that scale modeling in plastic is a great hobby, offering both challenge and satisfaction. Our interests are wide: we not only build scale miniatures of aircraft, armor, ships, and cars, but we're also interested in their historical aspects as well. Our club, as well as our national IPMS organization, can provide you with the information you need to build accurate and interesting models. Whether you are young or old, beginner or old pro, IPMS has something to offer you. We can:
Why don't you join us at one of our monthly meetings and try us out. We meet on the
third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm. We
meet at Calvary Presbyterian Church in south St. Louis. The address is 3400 LeMay Ferry Road about 3 miles north of Interstate 270 just east of Interstate 55 on the south side of St. Louis. (See map).
We usually have
slides or film to show, a demonstration of modeling techniques and lots of shop
talk. We are willing to spend time with you as you enter or continue in this
fascinating hobby. Give us a try, there's no obligation or admission fee for our
meetings. And if you want to join we'll be delighted. If you would like more
information, feel free to call one of the following people or email us at the
address below. Special Note: Sometimes the meeting location changes, however we hope the recent move will be permanent. For information on this, please contact one of the people above.
