Modeller of the Year/Build Night
Our Modeller of the Year series continued this month. The theme for Special Category was "Anything Black." Many "black" aircraft made an appearance, as did Dracula in his ever "black" attire! There were also the usual aircraft/armor/figure categories.
The vote for teh Bob Stroup award was finalized and will be announced at the upcoming banquet. Remember, the award is for the member who promoted, enhanced, or contributed to the club the most by a club vote.
We discussed an ammendment change to our By-Laws which would allow members to serve on the E-board for more than two years. Unfortunately, your webmaster stepped out during the vote, but I assume the proposal passed.
Final arrangements are in place for the Club Banquet which is to be held Saturday, November, 18, 2006 at Soldier's Memorial. Cocktails will begin at 6:00 P.M. and dinner is set to begin at 7:00 P.M. Beer, wine and dinner are included in the $15/person ticket. Other liquer to be brought by attendees.
The latest DML/Dragon M2A1 kit was demonstrated as was the latest 1/72 Gato class submarine from Revell.
